Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone and inaugurated 234 development projects worth Rs 5,196 crore in Kaushambi and Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh.
Out of these, there are one hundred and 17 development projects worth Rs 4,583 crore in Azamgarh and one hundred and 17 development proposals worth Rs 613 crore in Kaushambi.
These include inauguration of 70 schemes of Public Works Department costing Rs 405 crore and 24 projects costing Rs 51 crore of 12 departments including Youth Welfare, Sports, Urban Development and Vocational Education Department.

Apart from unveiling the projects in Kaushambi, Shri Shah also inaugurated the Kaushambi Mahotsav and honored the winners of the "Parliamentarian Sports Competition". Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Ministers Brijesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya were also present on this occasion.
Addressing the gathering, the Home Minister said that as per the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, MPs are organizing MP Sports Festival in their constituencies. These sports festivals have given young players a platform to showcase their talent.
Harihar Sangeet Mahavidyalaya
Union Minister of Azamgarh laid the foundation stone of Harihar Sangeet Mahavidyalaya in Namdarpur.
Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana Phase-3
The foundation stones of 19 schemes of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana Phase-III worth Rs 151 crore and 4 schemes of Health and Urban Development Department worth Rs 6 crore were also laid in the festival. Many dignitaries including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya were present on this occasion.
